Public Screening Memory Walk Munich

It is with great pleasure that the Anne Frank House (the Netherlands), Youth Initiative for Human Rights BH (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the Staatliches-Karolinen Gymnasium Rosenheim (Germany) invite you for a public screening and reception to mark the completion of the Memory Walk Munich 2014.

Memory Walk Munich is a five day long, educational film workshop where 20 youngsters coming from Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina are encouraged to critically reflect on monuments in Munich. During the workshop the participants have been researching issues related to the process of memorialisation, exploring how past events have been translated into monuments, discussing what historical narratives are highlighted or ignored and investigating the significance of Munich’s monuments for its citizens. The products of their work are three short video clips that will be screened at the Eine Welthaus, followed by a festive closing and a reception.
On behalf of the entire Memory Walk Team I would be delighted if you would be willing to celebrate the youngsters‘ hard work with all of us during the closing ceremony.
